I work in international collaboration of up to 50 people. It is not as big as @claranellist sort of collaborations but it is already pretty big.

It also means that meetings are not generally held down the corridor, but rather up on a hill in Germany, or in a pub in Paris, … Living la vida loca!

I work within a research group at the University of Southampton called Population, Health and Wellbeing that has about six academics in it, at the moment.

Otherwise, I collaborate with the emergency services and computer sciences fairly frequently – I’m starting next week off with a chat with the head of Hampshire Fire and Rescue service, for example!

I tend to work a lot on my own, although I also work a lot with teams of scientists. This is called ‘collaboration’ and we all help each other solve our problems.

I work with scientists around the world, and I get to travel loads, as well as using the internet to communicate.
