0 Question: What makes something neutral. Alkalies+Acids? Keywords: chemistry, particle, pH Asked by to Simon on 18 Mar 2014. This question was also asked by .
Simon Albright answered on 18 Mar 2014:
Something’s acidity is a measure of how many hydrogen ions it has dissolved in it. The unit “pH” stands for “per Hydrogen”. We call a pH of 7 neutral, higher alkali and lower acid. If you mix high with low it will average out to the middle.
